Summer Music Fun

Every summer the city puts on a couple of outdoor music concerts near a lake where we live.  My parents, siblings, grandparents, great aunt, and friends all get together and go to the concert. Everyone brings a picnic dinner and desert and we sit on the grass, eat and listen to music. My great aunt and Grandma brought the most food. My great aunt made chocolate cake especially for me, because I like chocolate cake.  While the music is playing, all of the kids run around,  play tag, ball, Frisbee, and have a good time together.

There is a large band on stage and usually someone singing. One of the bands played music by Elton John. The singer looked and dressed up just like like Elton John.

Have you ever been to an outdoor concert?

Did  you like the music they played?

  1. Dear Sarah,

I really loved reading all about your outdoor summer concert. It sure was heaps of fun you all had and what made it even better was all the yummy food that was bought along. As a matter of fact it is making me very hungry.

Your photos were great I really felt like I was right in the swing of the concert with you all.

I have been to an outdoor concert many years ago and I really had a blast.

I hear that you will be starting school soon so all the best for your new year at school Sarah.

    From your friend down under,
    AA :)

What is your new teacher like?
Does your new grade have a class blog?
What will you be learning this year at school?

    1. Dear AA,

Thank you so much for replying back. The first day of school was very fun and my teacher is very nice. Miriam had this teacher last year as well. No, my teacher does not blog, but I can still continue to blog and visit Mrs. Yollis.

Mrs. Krauss(our teacher)said that we will be learning a lot of geography, and many things about our state and the world.

      Sincerely,
      Sarah
